*Diamond---the hardest stone in the world, So that's why diamond can use for cut with diamond pieces..... 

* Jade, however, ranks as “Exceptional” and is therefore considered to be tougher than diamond, but the diamond is harder than jade (Toughness Vs. Hardness). although jade sits at a 6-7 on the Mohs scale. The diamond sits at 10 Mohs scale.

* Uses the comparison of Leather & Glass to help you remember the difference between  Toughness & Hardness. Leather is tougher than glass, Glass is harder than leather.
